Future Sketches
Cambridge Spring 2024
At MIT Media Lab’s Future Sketches Lab, I explored the artistic application of Gaussian Splatting in the context of a music video project. Gaussian Splats are an alternative 3D rendering technique that uses a point cloud instead of a mesh to create high-quality images with less computational power. For the project, I converted simple video recordings into 3D Gaussian Splats, then applied machine learning techniques to enhance the quality of the output. Through experimentation with various visual transformations, I helped create visually dynamic effects that contributed to the final aesthetic of the video. (The photo to the right is an example from the internet, I currently don't have any saved photos on my laptop and I'm in Bolivia working on a project, I'll update it with the project-specific splats when I have access to my desktop!)

MIT Morningside Academy for Design
Cambridge Spring 2023
I worked on a research project under MIT's new Morningside Academy for Design, where I helped put together a conceptual for a project titled "Collective Assembly". The project was an exploration in highly customizable spaces through the use of robots and movable modular furniture. I helped conceptualize the idea, do basic testing with small-scale prototypes, and created mock up architectural renders for use in publicizing the project.
